For per-user editing, construct the Document ID using the row's key plus user info, for example, System.
Then, close the document for editing by this Document ID for this user only; - Return a stream or an array of bytes value from the 3-rd parameter created from the underlying column value;- Handle the ASPx Grid View Row Inserting/Row Updating events: - Retrieve the modified rich text content from ASPx Rich Edit via the ASPx Rich Edit.
By Default, Grid View control displays Item Template which directly shows the Product Name and Unit Price columns but when user clicks Edit button Grid View automatically switches to Edit Item Template and display the control available inside Edit Item Template for user editing.
It illustrates how to accomplish the same task using a new ASPx Rich Edit control instead of the ASPx Html Editor one:- Add ASPx Rich Edit into the related column's Edit Item Template;- Handle the ASPx Rich Edit. - When editing an existing row, use the corresponding ASPx Rich Edit. Note that data modifications are not allowed in online demos.
Open method overload; - Pass the document Id value to identify the document to open (for example, generated based on the editing row key/guid). To allow editing in local/offline mode, download the example and comment out the "throw..." operation in the ASPx Grid View.
First gridview displays data, 2nd one displays data based on the 1st one's row and 3rd one displays data based on the 2nd gridview. I have a relatively simple gridview bound to an product table that displays great. When I do so, the gridviews' Row Data Bound event fires and the values of the text properties of the tablecells in the row evaluate to "" emptystring.
All of this works perfectly, including the edit mode for the 3rd gridview. Quick google search guided me to move the event to Row_Created event and every thing is okay . Thanks a tonne in Advance and any inputs will be valued and appreciated . I do notice that if I break within the Grid View1_Row Data Bound event during a refresh of the page, the values are there.
These properties will automatically render Edit, Update and Cancel buttons inside Grid View column.
